1. Every home is in a flood zone.
According to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), nearly 20% of all flood insurance claims are made by homeowners living in areas considered a low risk for a flood. That means regardless of whether your mortgage company required you to purchase flood insurance, your home is at risk for flooding.                 

2. No homeowners insurance policy covers flooding.
It’s a common misconception that homeowners insurance covers flood damage, but the truth is only flood insurance covers flood damage. Without it, the cost of the damage comes out of your pocket.

3. You can’t rely on the federal government to pay for flood damage.
Federal assistance is only available if the president declares an area a disaster. Even then, the assistance is not compensation for your losses, but rather a low-interest loan that requires repayment with interest, along with your mortgage.

4. Flood losses are costly.
Most people don’t realize that just a few inches of floodwater can do thousands of dollars worth of damage. In a 2,000 square foot home, one inch of water can cause as much as $27,000 or more in damage to your home and its contents.

5. Flood polices are affordable.

Rates effective April 1, 2019. These PRP rates are for 1-4 Family Residential without a basement or enclosure. Other residential building and contents coverage combinations are available. Premium includes a 15% Reserve Fund Assessment, $25 Federal Policy Fee, Increased Cost of Compliance, and $25 HFIAA surcharge for policies covering primary residences only if the named insured’s primary residence is a single-family dwelling, an individual condominium unit, or an apartment in a non-condominium building. Add $225 to the HFIAA surcharge for all other policies. Add the $50 Probation Surcharge, if applicable. Deduct the Increased Cost of Compliance if the risk is a condominium unit.

Flood insurance purchased through AAA is underwritten by a participating insurer of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The NFIP is administered and regulated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Engage the AAA Road Service Skill on Alexa Today!

Before you request AAA Roadside Service, you should first set your device address on all Alexa devices as this will pull that address as your breakdown/service request location. If you are using the Alexa App on your phone and provide permission for Location Services then the GPS locator will return the address where you are broken down.

To install the Alexa App for iOS and Android mobile phones:

1. Access the Amazon Alexa App and tap the menu icon.
2. Tap “Skills & Games.”
3. Tap the magnifying glass icon to search for the desired skill.
4. Type in “AAA Road Service” and select the returned skill.
5. Tap the “Enable to Use” button.
6. Accept “Device Address” and “Location Services” by tapping on the checkmark squares, then tap “Save Permissions”.
7. Link your membership by entering:
–  membership number
–  last name
–  home zip code
8. Tap the “Link Account” button
9. Verify your account information is correct. Tap the “I agree…” box, then tap the “Yes, Confirm Account” button.

1. Download the Google Assistant App from the App store:
  • Click on the App store icon
  • Search for and select the ‘Google Assistant App’
  • Download the app
2. Open the app to set it up
3. Once Google Assistant is set up, a welcome message will appear
4. As a member, you can now open Google Assistant at any time and simply say “Talk to AAA Road Service” when you need light service for your vehicle.

Contractor Network
Services are provided, in most cases, by independent businesses (not employees or agents of the Club) under contract to AAA to provide Road Service as described herein. While the Club is not responsible for the acts or omissions of these independent contractors, the Club will assist members in resolving complaints that may arise as a result of damage or unsatisfactory service.

Extreme Service Conditions
Please understand that during severe weather conditions, an increase in the volume of service requests may cause unavoidable delays. First priority is given to the removal of vehicles blocking roadways. As equipment becomes available, service will be provided to other vehicles. Also, heavy traffic and road construction may delay the arrival of the service provider.

Service Limitations
Service will be limited to the equipment ordinarily used for road service by the service provider serving the area. Service will not be provided when the disabled vehicle cannot be safely reached or serviced without causing damage to the vehicle or servicing equipment. Service may not be used as a substitute for regular maintenance necessary to keep your vehicle in good operating condition. AAA membership may not be used by a business or organization to provide service for its customers, employees or vehicles.

The following services are not provided under the membership benefit:

• Towing to transport vehicles due to a purchase, sale, disposal, auction transaction, car show exhibition, relocation or similar situations.
• Service to a vehicle located in an area not regularly traveled by private passenger vehicles (such as a beach, open field, creek bed, or private logging or forest service road and snowfilled or flooded road or driveway).
• Towing, extrication/winching and tire change service for recreational vehicles and towing service for motorcycles unless the member has Plus RV or Premier RV. Effective immediately. Plus RV and Premier RV towing, extrication and tire service is limited to $500 per eligible service call and $1,000 per household per membership year. These dollar limits are applicable to service provided to Plus RV and Premier RV vehicle types only, beginning in your new membership term. Members will be responsible to pay the service provider directly for all other costs of service above these dollar limits at the time service is provided. Refer to the online member handbook for the RV vehicle types affected. Members will be responsible to pay the service provider directly for all other costs of service above these dollar limits at the time service is provided.
• Towing of vehicles which are safely operable under their own power.
• Towing of vehicles purchased in an inoperable condition.
• Cost of vehicle locksmith services beyond what is necessary to place the vehicle in a condition to be safely driven (such as duplicating keys, nonemergency lock repairs and rekeying of vehicle locks).
• Service in situations where appropriate identification in addition to the membership card is not provided to the service driver.
• More than 200 miles of AAA Premier towing on one disablement per cardholder per membership year, more than 100 miles of towing on the remaining allowable service calls, and more than 100 miles of towing on any recreational vehicle tow, without the member agreeing to pay the additional mileage costs.
• Towing to or from auto dismantlers or salvage yards, or from one storage location to another.
• The installation or removal of snow chains.
• Installation of automotive parts not provided by a service provider.
• AAA Plus, AAA Premier, AAA Plus RV and AAA Premier RV services before the member has received a new membership card denoting these additional service benefits, or prior to 3 days after receipt of dues payment, whichever is earlier.

Check Acceptance for Emergency Repairs
Your personal check, credit/debit card will be accepted by any independent contract facility for payment of emergency road service for up to $250. A valid membership card and identification must be presented at the time of payment. The name on the check, credit/debit card must match the member name.

Allowable Road Services Calls
In order to keep membership dues affordable for everyone, AAA limits 24-Hour Road Service to four AAA-paid calls per member per membership year. You’ll still receive service after four calls and will be charged special, prenegotiated AAA rates that are lower than you would pay if you weren’t a AAA member. Payments by cash or your personal check are acceptable, and your special AAA rate will apply. At the beginning of the next membership year, after renewal, you are entitled to another four service calls.

Territories Covered
The Road Service benefits apply within AAA's territory. In other areas of the United States and Canada, you will receive the same service which clubs in those areas extend to their own members.

Upon activation and with proper identification, AAA will provide regular AAA services and full privileges for the new member. Roadside benefits begin 3 days after payment of dues. Some restrictions apply.
