You expect AAA to provide you with roadside assistance when your vehicle breaks down, but what about your bicycle? Bicycle service from AAA is an innovative member benefit that fits your healthy lifestyle by providing bicycle service to all AAA Members. This means when your bike becomes disabled, AAA has you covered by providing roadside assistance to both you and your bike.

Eligible bicycles

Service applies to all bicycles and tandems, including rental bicycles and trailers pulled by bicycles, if service can be safely delivered using normal servicing equipment.

Service provided to bicycle rider only.

Bicycle transportation service is provided only for the rider whose bicycle is disabled or inoperable.

Questions about AAA Bicycle Service

Bicycle service is provided to a member whose bicycle has become disabled or inoperable. To obtain service, call the number on the front of your membership card and a service vehicle will be sent to the eligible disabled bicycle from the nearest AAA service facility.

Bicycle service applies to any eligible bicycle you are riding at the time the bicycle becomes disabled. Members should be with the bicycle and have their AAA Membership Card in hand at the time of service.

Bicycle transportation service is counted towards your allotted roadside assistance service calls per member, per membership year.* AAA will transport you and your bike to any point of safety within the limits of your coverage.

Classic: Get roadside transports within a 5-mile radius of the bicycle breakdown.

Plus: Get roadside transports within a 100-mile radius of the bicycle breakdown.

Premier: Get one transport, up to a 200-mile radius of the bicycle breakdown; remaining transports are up to 100 miles.

Bicycle service is available to members residing in the Auto Club Group territory.

Service vehicles are not equipped to repair a member’s bicycle or change a flat tire; however, transportation for your disabled bicycle will be provided subject to the terms discussed herein.

  • Air service
  • Reimbursement for impounding ordered by the police or other proper entity because a bicycle was impounded due to a violation of a state or local ordinance
  • Retrieving bicycles from areas that are not reachable from a regularly traveled, hard-surface road, street or parking lot designed for motor vehicles. If the bicycle breakdown occurs away from a regularly traveled road, street or parking lot, service will only be provided if the bicycle can be moved by the member to a regularly traveled road
  • Service to unattended bicycles
  • Storage or repair costs
  • Parts and tires
  • Locksmith services, including rendering any services to break or cut a lock on a secured bicycle
  • More than one transportation per disablement
  • Cost of providing alternate transportation
  • Fatigue and physical inability to continue with ride
  • Rendering mechanical first aid or changing of a flat tire
  • Service where we or the service provider determines that a road is not safely passable due to flooding or other hazards

Bicycle Service is only provided in The Auto Club Group coverage area. Reimbursement is available when service is provided to AAA members who travel outside The Auto Club Group coverage area. Please download the form below to begin the reimbursement process.
