AAADrive Overview

Driving safer and smarter.

Becoming a safer driver doesn't just happen. In fact, most people could use a little coaching. That's where AAADrive comes in. When you're out on the road, AAADrive collects data on factors that are important to every safe trip. When your trip is over, AAADrive gives you a score to let you know how safely you were driving. You'll know which of your driving habits are sound, and which ones could be improved. Here are the five factors that are monitored to create your safe driving score:

  1. Mobile Phone Distraction: your interaction with yor phone while driving
  2. Smooth Driving: your ability to manage your speeds and anticipate hazards
  3. Speed: your speed against other drivers who are using the road
  4. Time of Day: the different time periods when you are driving
  5. Fatigue: how long you drive without taking a break
  • 85% of drivers are distracted by their phone when driving
  • Distracted driving accounts for nearly 4,000 crashes every day
  • Distraction caused by a phone conversation is the same for hands-free or hand-held cell phones
  • Texting while driving takes a driver's eyes off the road for an average of 4.6 seconds out of every 6 seconds
  • Driver drowsiness, assessed on the basis of eyelid closures, was present in an esimated 8.8%-9.5% of all crashes1
  • Half of drivers (50.3%) reported driving 15 mph over the speed limit on a free way and 47.6% reported driving 10 mph over the speed limit on a residential street2

Get started in 3 simple steps.

Keep loved ones safe.

AAADrive can help ease your worries about loved ones on the road with a special Our Safety feature that's designed to help protect them. Perfect for families with teen and senior drivers, AAADrive lets you set parameters for individual drivers to help them drive within specific guidelines you establish. When your loved ones are behind the wheel, you'll receive alerts when chosen thresholds, such as speed, time of day and geo-graphic boundaries, have been exceeded.

Safer driving made fun.

AAADrive can also make it fun to become a safer driver. The app's My Community area is designed so you can invite friends who also have the app, to compare the scores you receive on your journeys.
